SALIDO HOUSE

The house is located in Mancha Real town, in an expanding area with plots for detached singlefamily housing. The program development on a single floor, the plot unevenness and depth and the high dividing walls determined the house position and shape.

Once the plot and the program were studied, it was concluded that it was impossible to develop it on one floor, leaving spacious free spaces, so the property was asked to extend the house to the back wall and take advantage of the existing unevenness to introduce 3 intermediate floors, so on the ground floor there would be an exterior parking porch with a hall and utility-laundry room, on the first floor a day area with a living-dining-kitchen room, and a night area between both separated by only 8 steps. On the other hand, the pool, solarium and porch area would be located on the night area roof, also 8 steps from the day area. Therefore, with this configuration it was possible to reduce the distances between all the house indoor and outdoorareas, andraising the enjoyment outdoor area above the plot floor to counteract the great height of the dividing walls, taking better views of the backgroundmountain range.

From the public road, only the gabled volume that rises above the parking area is perceptible, internally characterized by containing the day area with different free heights. A series of open and landscaped patios that connect with the plot side corridors allow the bedrooms and the central corridor to be illuminated and ventilated, while providing them with privacy as the most public area of the house is located right on its roof.
